The club held open trials for all age groups just after the May bank holiday weekend this year and the turnout for the under 10's age group was greater than expected. A total of 36 players wanted to play for Lytham Juniors and the decision was made to submit 2 teams into the Poulton Primary League.
In an attempt to keep the players playing alongside familiar faces we split the squad into the Blues and Maroons. With several players from Foxhall and Warton, as well as some existing Lytham players, Lytham Juniors Maroons were born under the guidance of management team of Neil Hetherington, Rob Connolly and Phil Watts.
They are a fantastic group of lads who have gelled together very quickly over pre-season training and are eagerly anticipating the forthcoming season.
